Microsoft has released the final test version of the cumulative update KB5012636 for Windows 10 1809 and Windows Server 2019 operating systems. The developers tried to fix the freezing problems in the client and server OS.
Currently, the update is in the final stages of testing, and its release is scheduled for May 10, 2022, as part of the monthly patch Tuesday.
Since KB5012636 does not fix security issues (class “C” updates), it can be installed as an option. Nevertheless, the corporation insists that the update eliminates several bugs and improves performance.
In addition, you can read the news that the Windows 11 Update installs malware to steal information.
In particular, we are talking about eliminating various kinds of freezes, and even system crashes on individual devices. The developers note that KB5012636 fixes a bug due to which Windows could work incorrectly when interacting with Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) policies that do not require a restart.
In addition, the tech giant has dealt with a bug that causes server errors due to the growth of the nonpaged pool and the use of all available memory. Unfortunately, even a reboot did not help get rid of this since the OS again fell into an error, trying to recover.
The developers got rid of the deadlock in the WebDav redirector when reading the file from the local TfsStore. Unfortunately, this error caused the OS to not respond to user actions.
